San Francisco church and its monastery are most famous for their catacombs containing the bones of about 10,000 people interred here when this was Lima’s first cemetery. Below the church is a maze of narrow hallways, each lined on both sides with bones. In one area, a large round hole is filled with bones and skulls arranged in a geometrical pattern, like a piece of art. If Mass is in progress upstairs, the sound reverberates eerily through the catacombs. Visiting these is not for those who are claustrophobic, as ceilings are low and doorways between chambers are even lower, requiring people to duck when entering. But the catacombs are at the end of a tour of the church, so you can skip them. There is much more to see here. The library, on the upper level, has thousands of antique books, and the monastery has an impressive collection of religious art. It is best known for a mural of the Last Supper showing the apostles dining on guinea pig, with a devil standing next to Judas. The San Francisco church and monastery were consecrated in 1673 and it is one of the city’s best preserved colonial churches, having withstood the earthquakes of 1687 and 1746, although it did suffer extensive damage in a quake in 1970.

The 40-room, luxury Lodge at Sea Island is on the site of a former cotton plantation, accessed via an avenue of historic antebellum oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Outside, the lodge resembles an English manor; inside, it feels like a 1920s-style golf clubhouse or hunting lodge, with personal butlers who deliver milk and cookies to guest rooms at bedtime. Golfers will be in heaven, but there are plenty of non-golf-centric activities, too. Rooms are huge and packed with amenities — some havebalconies with beautiful views of the St. Simons Sound. Listen for the nightly bagpiper who performs at sunset. Guests should note that some features — such as the beach, spa, and swimming pool — are located at the sister property, The Cloister, which is too far to walk to; however, there’s a free regular shuttle there and back.

You will often see office workers out enjoying these space on their lunch breaks. Some of the biggest and best “nonroyal” spaces in London are owned and maintained by local councils, through local resident council taxes. During the Autumn, Winter and early Spring month, the day becomes shorter which means that if you use helicopters regularly you will have to use a helicopter that is able and legal to fly at night. Put simply you must be flying in a Twin engine, night rated helicopter with a night rated pilot to effectively complete flights within the UK at night in a helicopter. These types of helicopters tend to be a little larger and more expensive per hour but they are also able to deal with the U Ks inevitably poor seasonal weather. They are also much faster and will carry more passengers. These night-flying rules for Helicopters are set out to enhance passenger safety by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Our night time operation Helicopter of choice is the Agusta 109 Grand. Find additional info at https://www.charter-a.com/.
