Brave browser features and making money while surfing the web
Searching about Brave browser details? Brave also comes with additional tactics to boost privacy while browsing. The incorporation of HTTPS everywhere allows usage of web encryption whenever available. The fingerprinting feature bars third parties from tracking your activity. This feature can be activated in the settings tab. Brave is not as secure as Tor browser, because its based on chromium. However, its million monthly active users are pretty much happy with the privacy options offered by Brave.
A note about tipping in the Brave Desktop Browser: When you tip a verified content creator, your tip is sent instantly to that creator’s Brave Rewards account. If you tip a creator who has not yet verified, your tip will be held locally in your browser until that creator verifies with creators.brave.com. If they verify within 90 days, your tip will be transferred. If not, then it is returned to your Brave Rewards wallet.
Defaults that matter: Browse confidently with default settings that block phishing, malware, and malvertising. Also, plugins, which have proven to be a security risk, are disabled by default. Sync your devices bravely: Brave Sync, currently in beta, can be enabled to encrypt and synchronize your preferred settings and bookmarks. However, Brave does not have the keys to decrypt your data.
Turn on Brave Rewards to earn frequent flier-like tokens for viewing privacy-respecting ads. You can set the number of ads you see per hour. Currently you can support your favorite web creators with your tokens, but soon you’ll be able to spend tokens on premium content, gift cards, and more. Today, you can donate tokens to your favorite websites. Coming soon, some creator sites will feature Brave Ads, which helps them earn more ad revenue than existing ad models. See more details at Brave Browser.
Brave Rewards: You’ve paid with your attention. You’ve earned your reward. Creators will always need your support to make amazing things. Soon enough, you’ll be able to directly withdraw the BAT you earn rather than using it to support the sites you love. To do this, you’ll need to create a wallet using a partner of ours. Over time, we’ll add more options to connect your own wallet to Brave Rewards. Stay tuned for details; we’ll be announcing developments as they come.
