Working and making cash from home can be a dream, but it can also be a reality. You can be skeptical of the real ways of making money by working at home, but they do exist. Here are some of them :
Make it harder for yourself to mess around on social media. Social media is designed to make it easy for you to open and browse quickly. At work, though, this convenience can be the detriment of your productivity. To counteract your social networks’ ease of use during work hours, remove them from your browser shortcuts and, according to Fast Company, log out of every account. You might even consider working primarily in a private or, if you’re using Chrome, an “Incognito” browser window. This ensures you stay signed out of all your accounts and each web search you conduct doesn’t autocomplete the word you’re typing. It’s a guarantee that you won’t be tempted into taking too many social breaks during the day.
Telemarketer : To qualify for this job, it’s best to be a skillful communicator, well-organized, and have customer service experience. Some companies outsource their cold-calling campaigns to third parties who hire home-based workers to place the calls. Telemarketers are typically paid by the hour, and they may earn incentives and commission based on performance. Companies hiring home-based workers include Intrep.com and Indeed. Keep in mind that a legitimate company will typically not require you to pay a fee to get information or leads.
Don’t let friends stop by. Dana Marlowe, principal partner of the Silver Spring, Maryland-based IT accessibility consulting firm Accessibility Partners, uses lunch as a time to meet with friends and if they show up at her house she politely tells them she’s working. “Boundaries are only as effective as they are enforced,” she says. Catherine Simms, co-founder of Stamford, Connecticut-based pet accessories company Whiner & Diner, also avoids drop-in visitors. “I just tell them that it is not a good time [and] over the weekend would be better,” she says. She also instructs them to call first to see if she’s home. Then when they do she doesn’t pick up, at least during work hours. Read extra info at Looking For Work-from-home Opportunities.
One of the easiest ways is to ensure you get paid weekly is to be self-employed and working directly with freelance clients. By eliminating the middleman (i.e. a freelance platform like Fiverr or Upwork) where payment can be delayed because the platform collects the payment, keeps a small percentage, and pays you at their convenience. By working directly with a client, you both decide on a payment schedule if the work is recurring. Since you work at home, the easiest payment method will be PayPal. You send an invoice once a job is completed and you receive the money as soon as the client approves the invoice.
