Themacj or the upsurge of a rap star: As a young kid, Themacj would often be very hyperactive and cause a lot of trouble growing up. He would often beatbox around the household and rap the lyrics of famous rappers such as, “Eminem”, “50 Cent”, “Ludacris”, “Snoop Dog” & “Lil Wayne”. Themacj started to play a game called “Guitar Hero’’ which vastly improved his music abilities, he later then developed those skills into playing the drums. Going into his last year of high school, Themacj began to produce his own beats as he was starting to hoan his rapping skills, which turned into him mixing and mastering his own songs years later.

Inspired by artists like Eminem, Big Sean, Joyner Lucas, and Hopsin, he would learn that to make your dreams a reality it was important to work hard at it. He learned how to produce and engineer his songs and became a one man powerhouse within the Canadian hip-hop scene. His rapid fire delivery and impressive prowess of the pen have attracted fans from all over the country and beyond, amassing tens of thousands of streams and praise from prestigious artists/producers such as Boi1da and King Los. He has opened up for Madchild and Dizzy Wright over the years, but this is the year where he will be the headliner, and there is no looking back for Themacj! Along his journey, Themacj has met up with diamond selling record producer “Boi1da” and took some learning tips to add on to his production. Themacj has just recently opened up for famous rappers “Dizzy Wright” & ”Madchild”. With his wide range of crazy flows, sharp lyrics, deeply layered metaphors, amazing production & clean audio engineering abilities, Themacj is destined to make his way onto the top.

Few rappers can claim such rapid career advancement within a few short months, and one of them, in particular, is seemingly on track to not only make moves, but also make a considerable imprint on the rap genre. That rapper is none other than the Toronto, Ontario native 24-year-old Malcolm Nelson, who is best known by his stage name, themacj.

The entirety of the artist’s oeuvre is self-produced and self-engineered, and his creative rapport with King Los marks his foray into collaborations with fellow rappers who can bring his music, skills, and talent to the next level. Themacj, who has opened up live for successful artists like Madchild and Dizzy Wright, has also made discussions for a possible collaboration with famous diamond-selling producer boi1da, and is in talks for more creative work with other key figures in the scene.

“I’m here to stay, and my fans can look forward to many more exciting collaborations, new tracks and live appearances in the near future.” We think that Themacj is destined for the top of the hip-hop music charts.
